Rejected Wendy's Slogans
Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 9:29AM
Here are some advertising slogans considered by Wendy’s before finding one that clicked:
What’s the Beef?
What Is Beef?
Is This Beef?
When’s the Beef?
It’s Beef Time!
Who’s Got the Beef?
Who Moved My Beef?
Who Beefed?!
How’s the Beef?
How Is This Beef?
Beef, and How!
Beef, Beef, & More Beef!
Beef is Beef
Here’s Your Beef…
Where’s the Beef at?
Beef: Where Is It?
Where’s the Beef? -- ACCEPTED

Who knew one of Wendy's rejected slogans would serve as the title of a hit book? "Who Moved My Beef?" is the #1 New York Times bestseller in business. Of course, it's about two blue collar protesters who hunt an elusive bull in a maze, dubbed "financial bureaucracy." What the protesters don't know is that two Wall Street moguls have hidden the bull in "Beef Station N." Sorry if I've ruined the plot!
I can't believe they didn't go with Beef, Beef & More Beef! James Garner would've rocked that slogan, in his prime.
