THE EXISTENTIAL LENS: Happiness Is...

…being drawn correctly. I’ve walked by this window of the store Cute Toonz (on 35th & Fifth) countless times. It’s always made me smile and think fondly of my childhood.

Until I noticed something was missing…

See what I mean? No nose! Now the image disturbs me and leaves me with a feeling of emptiness. Good grief, Cute Toonz! 

This is wrong on so many levels:  1) everyone knows that Snoopy has a black circle for a schnoz, 2) the artist “finished” the picture except for one detail, 3) either the artist or Cute Toonz didn’t notice, or they just don’t give a shit, 4) it would be so easy to fix with a Sharpie...

That's better.
